I have d/l the mobile app from the app store. But I am unable to get it to work.
I am entering the login and password for the admin as setup up in Access Management/users/administrator.
I get an error that says the website cannot be reached. Check that the address is correct. I am using the same website address that a user would use the get to the website. ie. www.*.com/sub-directory
Does it require a sub-directory or something?

Hello. I sent a notification about your question to the company employees, expect an answer from them here in the comments.
Which APP are we actually talking about here? The Website X5 Manager? This APP is only responsible for the backend and can only be accessed with admin access data!
Or do you mean an RSS Feed APP?

The essential Website X5 Tool to manage your sites from mobile, version 1.7.3 copywrite 2017. The app logo is a circle; half orange, half dark grey with W5 in it.
You have to log in to the browser on the PC with the admin access data and scan the QR code in the W5 apps.

Hi Andreas. I am not sure what you mean by the PC with the admin access data. In the Website X5 program, there is a QR code as in the picture. But scanning that just take my to the app store. I already have the app on my phone. I simply cannot get the access to the control panel on my phone. I get an error that says the website cannot be reached. I assume I am not entering the correct data. But maybe that is not the issue.
Hello Gregory,
Try with https://www.mybesite.com
Enjoy!

No, not this QR code!
You enter your domain in your browser with \admin behind it!
www.deinedomain.de\admin
You can see the access data under "1" in the access management! You then enter the admin access data in the browser and get to the backend.
There is the correct QR code that you have to scan.

Thank you Andreas. The http://www.domain.com/admin was what I was missing. Thanks for the eductaion.
As I aside, I still cannot make it work doing this manually. But no matter, the QR code worked.
