The domain is at 123-reg, and where is the webspace or website?

Or is there no web space yet and the website is only on the computer?

I have looked at all this and still do not understand.  When I go into 123-reg to transfer my doman name over to Website X5 evo it asks for Hostname - Desination IPv4 address.  

I followed the hosting panel of Website X5 and added my website name and the value onto  123-reg but it came back host name not valid.  I then entered www and the value and it accepted this.

I am a novice at this and really do need help.

Just been reading more about this and it says it can take upto 4 to 8 hours the DNS records to become active.  So I will wait until tomorrow and check if the above has worked.  I am probably being impatient and expecting everything to happen immediately.
