Google ranking...  en

I have a specific question for Incomedia... When I redesigned my website and re-indexed it in Google Webmaster Tools, after a few days my website was on the first pages and I received queries from multiple locations and for quality keywords... After another two weeks my website is on page 8 of Google search engines... WTF !!!??? Why, why... I have a feeling when I do my research that as soon as Google sees the generator tag or something related to your buggy application, our ranking drops drastically...

The “Generator” meta tag can be removed, see screenshot below

1. First remove the check mark as in the screenshot, then open the relevant project.

2. Now click on “Preview” while holding down the left Ctrl key and wait until the progress bar has completely scrolled through at the bottom.

3.Then export the entire website to the Internet, not just the updated files.

Now use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F5 in the browser to request the new files from the web server, then the reference to WebSiteX5 should be gone.

Hi. I don't pay much attention to Google... one day everything's green (above 90) and the next day, because of an "alt" tag on an image, it says it failed the test... anyway. One day Google approves you, and then when you address one of their own recommendations, the score drops... but that's Google's business model: the more you visit their page, the "better for them"... For example, a 4.5MB image is told it's too large and can be "optimized" by reducing it by half (2.2MB)... the same image on another page of the same site, at only 56KB, is also told it's too large and can be optimized further... anyway, I don't even consider their optimizations anymore. My radio listeners say the page is faster and congratulate me... and Google says it's slower. Haha.

Now, if your site was on page 8 and the next day it wasn't anymore... don't you think someone else optimized their pages and pushed you down the rankings?

For me, it's a waste of time trying to please Google and its requirements that change every day.

Regards.

Hello,
the "Generator" tag should not have any impact on indexing, howerver as mentioned by Daniel it is not necessary to include it, and it can be removed if you prefer to do so.
I would recommend making sure that no warnings or suggestions are now displayed on the Search Console, as Google's criteria often change.
