X5 Evolution V11.0.1.12. I am trying to add HTML in an HTML Code Object test page and not all HTML code is working as expected.
I am stepping through the http://www.w3schools.com/html/ HTML code, inserting code in the test page, and then Previewing the Page to find out how each instruction is working.
Is there a description on what happens when you insert HTML code, what not to use, what Eveloution overrides, how to add CSS, use the Expert page, etc?
I first searched on this topic and my Firefox web page went blank/white. When I submitted the QUESTION, the SEARCH turned up nothing.
thanks

Hello Terence,
Do the following links help you at all?
http://help.websitex5.com/en/v11/evo/index.html?ins_codice.htm
http://help.websitex5.com/en/v11/evo/index.html?finestra_file_collegato.htm
The HTML Object supports all HTML code... there are no caveats as far as I'm aware.
Can you clarify what you mean by "what Evolution overrides?"
Kind regards,
Paul

I have been to the links provided in the ans. Esentially, they refer readers to the link "Further information: HTML, HTML5 & CSS" which is where I am reading, copying, and pasting html code into X5 V11.
As an example, with just the heading text, they are all centered in my X5 html code object page. As if X5 has underriding html to center these.
<h1>My First Heading 1</h1>
<h1><i>This is a heading 2</i></h1>
<h2>This is a heading 3</h2>
<h3>This is a heading 4</h3>
These are also centered

When you insert html code, do you have to have html instructions like <html lang="en-US">, <body>, etc. I have been doing trial and testing to see what works, how it works, and trying to get the html code to preform as is shown in W3.
So what does the HTML CODE OBJECT need or don't need. Are there examples?
