I was interested in the page flip object. I found the whole thing misleading. When I clicked on the link to explore page flip, it appeared that you could use it to make a document like a magazine with the computer turning the pages. After some exploration, I've found several answers that say it's only for images. Go to the link. The first example clearly shows a magazine styled object that flips pages. So does it do this or not?

Yes. It's for images only.

Serg L. That was a strange response. Forget the yes part; it's just it is for images only. So the whole thing is misleading.

It appears if you have a PDF document and want it to flip, you'll have to make each page an image file (png would work best) then you could use the page flip object. Lots of work though.
