Both V11 and V12 crashed after upgrading to Windows 10  en

My version 12 was working fine in Windows 7. However, after upgrading to Windows 10, it crashes all the times. It sometimes could open my website file completely, sometimes not. When my website x5 file finally opened, it crashed when I tried to work on any page. I then tried Version 11, and the same thing happened. I also read others with the same problem, and tried the suggestion to disable and enable Microsoft net frame, and it didn't work. I also noticed each time I add an image, the image thumbnail did not display as it should.

Now I am stuck and unable to update my website and wished that I didn't upgrade to Windows 10. Please let me know if there's a solution.

Hello Kurt,

Did you follow these steps?

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off
Clear the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and then click on OK. Clear also the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 and then click on OK.
After Windows disables the feature you will need to go back to re-enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and 4.6 and then click ok.

Did you get any error message while repairing .NET?

Can you please send me a screenshot of what appears when you experience the issue with the program?

Many thanks!

I did follow the exact same steps from reading other member's post. I just did it again to make sure I did it correctly. Both times I was able to disable and enable icrosoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and 4.6 successful. But Website X5 still crashed. I did notice that my Win 10 is on.net framework 3.5, and I could not update to 3.5.1 through Window's auto update and couldn't find a way to update to 3.5.1 online. Is lacking the newer 3.5.1 version the cause of the problem?

I have attached two screen captures.

Thanks.

Hello Kurt,

Thank you for the screnshot. It seems some components on windows are not working correctly. Try to install all windows updates to see if then it installs .NET 3.5.1 since windows 10 uses this specific version.

Once done all the windows updates try again to start the program.

Many thanks!
