Dear X5 people,
I've run into a problem some time ago.
I go to Map Creation, choose a site and then go to Page Creation.
The only problem is that one of the pages can be edited in the creator but whatever I do the changes are neither visible in the preview nor published to the website.
Has anyone encounter anything like this?

Hello Tom,
Can you clarify what you mean by "choose a site"?
"I go to Map Creation, choose a site and then go to Page Creation."
Map Creation is Step 2, Page Creation is Step 3 - I'm puzzled as to the intermediate step you describe... this could hold the key to the solution.
Kind regards,
Paul

Hello Paul,
OK. Well that doesn't matter. I go to Page Creation, make changes (add new objects, change properties) but none of these even appear in the preview. Tried uploading it and still nothing. So basically whatever I do nothing's changed.
Regards,
Tom.

Oh. But only one page is affected http://context.edu.pl/dla-doros-ych.html
The rest is editable as normal.
Tom.
My screenshot attached shows the page as it displays in my browser.
How does this differ from what you expect?
Second screenshot showing top half of page...

OK. So here's the thing. The page in question is the one the screenshot I attached.
Whatever you change here (for exmple I have removed Regent logo and the table should have a white background) it doesn't affect the final result. So I can add whatever objects I like or change obcject properties it allways remains what you have seen for yourself online.

So in a nuthsell I cannot edit this site because whatever I do nothing happens.

Tom.
Please hold down the CTRL key whilst entering the Preview mode in WebSite X5 - allow the Preview to build to completion by watching the progress bar in the bottom right of the screen.
Then upload ALL project files to the server in Step 5, not just those recently modified.
Please let us know when you have done this.

Sorry Paul. That didn't help either...
Thanks, the other pages have been refreshed and updated on the server, but that particular page has not been updated since 27th January and was generated using version 12.0.4.21 - we will ask Incomedia for their thoughts and comments at this point.
Please be patient as a reply can take 24/48 hours within normal working hours, so it might even be Monday before you hear back.
I will mark the thread for the attention of the support staff.

Dear Paul,
Yes. I think everything was ok two updates ago.
Thank you for all your efforts.

Dear Paul,
No reply so far...

Please wait for the Incomedia team to reply, Tom. I assure you they will in due course, and I have already marked this thread for their specific attention.
Please resist the temptation to 'bump' the thread by posting further in the meantime, as unfortunately this pushes your request further down the queue.
Best wishes...
Hi Tom,
sorry for the delay in my answer.
Anyway, fisrt I suggest you to try again what Paul said (CTRL while previewing in the software).
If it doesn't help, could you please send us some screenshots of what you see in the preview and what your page actually looks like in the net? so we would be able to help you further, thank you!

Hello Simone,
Thank you for your reply.Well, whatever changes I make you can't even see them in the preview. So I can put any object I like but it won't be visible in the preview. Even deleting the objects that had been uploaded before doesn't affect it. If you look at the page now you can see Regent logo. I deleted it and it's still there. Also making any changes to the text field has no effect.
Because it affects only one site what I might do is just delete it completely and redo it again if there's no other solution. But I'd rather avoid it (SEO).
Regards,
Tom.
Hi Tom,
just to be sure I understood correctly what your issue is: the updating problems appear in all you website's pages or just in the one we saw?
Could you try to send a us at least a screenshot of your page structure, so we would be able to understand a little bit better?
thank you very much!
Hi, in similar situation I resolved deleting one by one the wrong files operating directly on the folder online; to better explain, I had access to my Control Panel (Provider) deleting all unwanted files, afterwards, I exported again my project. Don't forget to send notification to Google trough webmaster tools.
Good luck.

Dear Gabriele,
Thank you for the tip. I have deleted all objects on the site and now it's being updated.
For Incomedia: What I noticed happening is: after certain updates an object on a site becomes unresponsive and causes problems as I described above. Say I include a gallery in 12.1 (just an example of ver) and update to 12.2 the object or site becomes impossible to edit. Then when the gallery is updated (after updating to our 12.2) everything is ok. It just seems that objects are often incompatibile with X5 update and cause problems.
If you wish I can desribe the problem in more detail.
Best regards,
Tom.
