I had to reset my Windows 10 system (thanks Microsoft) which removed Incomedia and now cannot find the back up Zip file for my Web site although all the images, css files etc are there on the back up.

How can I restore my web site without recreating everything ?

you need to locate an *.iwprj file or an *.iwzip

Do a full search if you find an iwzip file you can import it in project selection.

If you find an iwprj file then set preference of x5 to the folder before that file on your pc. (preferences is found in start up page of x5)

If you can't find them then I have bad news .... you need to start over again.

You can offcource you text and pictures from internet to copy into x5 pages but that's about it.

Goodluck.

Thanks for your reply - it's appreciated. I tried it but was unable to locate a iwzip file - and couldn't work out why it wasn't there either. Decided to cut my losses and frebuild - now done thank you.

Rodney,

As information to you and also other users....

The iwzip file is made manually, you need to use the export project option in x5 step 5.

The backup iwprj file is made by x5, and depending on settings, (standard on) it will create backups for you. The settings you will find in the pulldown of the save button on top (header of x5 itself)

I always suggest to keep backups beside the standard backups of x5 using the manual methode of step5, create one before you make larger changes and one after, set it on a different drive then the standard backups / program is running. This creates maximum security.
