Creating a unique Home Page  en

Hi

I don’t want the same header image that is created for the home page in the “main template structure” to appear on every other page, apart from the navigation menu and the text I placed in the footer.

Website x5 saves the “main template structure” as its home page (index.html) and always displays it in the main navigation menu as the home page. What is the best way of creating a master page with just the navigation menu and footer to appear on every webpage and a unique home page with a main header image.

Peter.

Peter,

With the slideshow option in the template custamization you can select multiple images for the header. by choosing the effect button and then the TAB page you can select for every picture on what page it should be used.

This way you can freely select all header pictures for all pages.

Thank you, your answer of using a slider is close to what I would like to achieve, if I only want the picture/slider to apear on the home page, then on all the other pages there is a large top margin were the slider should appear, is there any way of removing this space.

Kind Regards, Peter.

The template design is not made for a configuration like that, so it's a little workaround to get the desired effect.

If you set the header hight in the template customization to 1 pixel.

You should be fine. Only your menu (if you have a horizontal one) and page context will then override your picture, so on these you need to set the top margins a little higher the the height of the header picture.

Hope it works out this way.
