Using the built in FTP upload function of Website X5 causes the server to respond with Error 403.

If I simply use the Export to Disk function and point to the IIS/WWWROOT folder then it all works fine.

I am uploading to Windows Server 2008 R2 IIS Folder.

I have watched the files being uploaded and the index.html, imsitemap.html, imsearch.php, sitemap.xml do not get uploaded when I upload by FTP.

If I delete the files in the folder on the server, and then choose upload all website files to the internet, then they do get uploaded.

Hello Paul,

Have you verified you have the right permissions to export on this folder with your FTP account?

Have you tired to activate the passive FTP?

Many thanks!

Hello Paul,

The Error 403 comes from your hosting service since the permissions are not correct or it has been used a wrong protocol.

Test the connection and export also on another FTP client like as example Filezilla and then it this works use the same settings also in WebSite X5.

Many thanks!
