Is there a way to exclude imsitemap.html from the sitemap.xml file? I have a single page website and want to completely hide the sitemap and the menu.
Also, is there a way to force recreate the sitemap.xml within the application? I recently changed the extension to .php and the sitemap will not reflect this change.

As with all pages in "3 Sitemap" under "Properties" - "Extended", you have the possibility to remove the checkmark in "Sitemap settings" for this page in the sitemap.
In order for the sitemap to be automatically created and updated, the checkmark "Create Sitemap automatically" must be set in "1 Settings" "Advanced" "Stastistics, SEO and Code".

I am aware of both of the items you recommended, however, the imsitemap.html page does not appear on the map, step 3 and therefore you cannot go in to the properties for that page this way.
Also, the create sitemap automatically is already checked, but there is a bug where certain changes do not trigger a sitemap update. I always have to find ways to force it to update the sitemap like create and delete a page or check/uncheck the create sitemap option and then it will update the other items that it had previously ignored.
Hello Gabriel,
for enable the page sitemap in step 3 you need go in step 2, customization, text style, select the "Footer Menu" and click on the "visible" (see my screenshot).
Now you can see the sitemap in step 3 Map.
If you don't see the page correctly in the Preview, force the updates on sitemap click on the CTRL+Preview.
Hope this help.

Riccardo,
Thank your for the information, but I might not have been clear on what I am trying to do in my original post. I do not want the imsitemap.html to appear at all, anywhere. I do not want the imsitemap.html listed in the sitemap.xml file. I want it to die and never show up on this single page website. There is no need for a sitemap on a single page website and there is no need to index the single page website's sitemap on google or any other search engine. I want to know how to get rid of it without having to manually update the sitemap.xml file every time I make a change to the site because X5 will keep adding it back. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks for your assistance and time.
Hello Gabriel,
WebSite X5 always creates the sitemap.html file. You can remove it by the server manually. Or use a script/code on the server that remove manually this file.

So then the solution/suggestion is to manually remove it from the sitemap.xml file too?
Hello Gabriel,
yes, because WebSite X5 create the file sitemap.html manually for improve the Google indexing and SEO.
