The way eCommerce works in some states in the US is that selling to someone outside your state may not require you withold/charge for state taxes.
Only if the sale is in the same state then tax needs to be collected - How do I set that up?
Thanks

Hello Terence,
At the moment it is not possible to have this feature in WebSite X5. I would like to suggest that you open an "Idea" Post where you describe to us the feature you would like to see implemented in the future releases of WebSite X5.
In the shopping cart in WebSite X5 the sales taxes you set are calculated automatically for every order.
As alternative you can create 2 different projects where in one you sell for the same state you add the sales taxes and the other one meant for buyers from outside where you don't add the sales taxes.
Many thanks!
a feasible solution with websitex5 is to create a separate project for each tax and, depending on the state, to direct the buyer to the corresponding page in a subdirectory via link. You can also visit the entry site as a separate project to guide visitors to the choice of their state and shop. Of course, you have to maintain the homepae several times per tax.

So I have to maintain 2 shopping carts - this is a labor intensive task; it would be ok if I could attach images file references to the bulk upload of items.
Is there a way to do any of the following:
1) Ability to integrate Javascript code and use it to determine whether the shopper is from ga based on their address?
2) @JJJuag: Having an entry site is too much trouble and someone could click the wron link and either be charged or not charged for sales tax.
I have no alternative other than having 2 carts - but how to "channel" the user with first selecting a state?
Any suggestions on this?
Thanks
Hello Terence F.,
You can use the entry page option to ask for the languange where instead of the language you offer the option to go to the website for the orders in the same state or to the website for the orders made from a different state.
Many thanks!
