Menu object  en

In Pro 12 version the menu was placed in every page by the program itself.
In 14 version Pro, the menu is a standalone object.
If we have an horizontal menu it will be placed in the header and it will be multiplicated by the prgram in every page.

If we have a column menu placed on the left side, seems that
we have to placed it manualy in every page. We need to create
a number of columns for this and copy the menu in every page.

Is there another solution? I am missing something?

Use the sidebar for the vertical menu. In the "template structure" you can use this paste and in the "template content" the object. The sidebar is like head and foot for all sides.

Hi JJ. JUAG

In the template structure there is no option for menu even in the template content ... is there a tutorial to cover all those new and confusiong features somewhere please? I have 2 weeks more to decide if I keep the Pro 14 and every day I am stucking in something else. Now I can see that I have left menu inside sidebar and a horizontal menu up in the header. Deleting the horizontal menu leads to the fact that in responsive there is no menu at all.

It is the first time in my life when a software is confusing me in such a manner. I do not understand a thing in this new program, it is a nightmare.

JJ. JUAG I am grateful for your time.

Perhaps you should open any one of the "BLANK" templates and examine how the MENU has been set up there.

I can see now that one can set the Menu Object in each viewport or responsive dimension in one place from the 3: left (right) side bar, header or footer. I didn't expect that the menu can be customize in a such complex manner.

Is this attach correct? If yes, why the second column text is outside the layout in 1366 viewport? The main div inside content is got margins and the same for text container. It is working total different from Pro 12.

Myron, which I did, yes. Is the first step to understand what is out there.

I can see that the autonomy of the new menu object is not as huge as I believed.

If I try to make an horizontal menu at the higher resolution then at a lower resolution I want a Side Bar Menu, I must delete in the smaller resolution viewport the horizontal menu, but it is deleted from all views.

So, what's the point?

Try to make a layout that shows the horizontal menu only in the maximum viewport which is 1980. In all the others I have set left side bar. Despite of that, in lower resolutions the side bar "it is not shown in this view".

It is maximum confusion.

Marius, I have no idea how big your website is, nor do I know if it is a single page site, so I do not know how much work would be involved in following these steps.

However. . .

You need not put the header in the menu now, so for desktop resolution you can place the menu object in the top row of cells (these can be copy and pasted across multiple pages if necessary), and then do not show (hide) those cells at lesser resolutions (step 4 page, responsive, show hide).

In step2 template template structure you can select whether or not there is a sidebar individually for each resolution, so for desktop structure type you would select header footer, but for every other resolution you would select structure type head footer left (or right) sidebar.

This means that at desktop resolution you would have the horizontal menu and at all lesser resolutions, the vertical menu only.

For mobile view the sidebar is not available.

Please let us know

a. if it works

b. if that is what you wanted to achieve

:-)

Hi

Yes, this is what I have asked, thank you! Meanwhile I have found that I can show or hide the horizontal menu or the left side menu in every viewport of resolutions, which is amazing.
