Is there a way that Website X5 will provide a CMS (Content Management System) so that once I uploaded the site I can give it to the client
Posté le
There is the Dynamic Content object, where a small, directly editable part of the homepage, similar to cms, is online customizable. Basically, wx5 is oriented as a project.
Please also read the manual
JJ.
I would also appreciate such a system.
The Dynamic Objects are ok for simple things to be edited by your clients.
It has disatvantages as i.e. inserting pictures is very basic (no possibility to edit the style like padding or such unless your client knows html well) but is fine for a lot of things.
What I don't like in the Dynamic Objects editor is that you can't limit your client in changing stuff like fonts or the like. So they can easily "destroy" your hopefully "clean and lean" design.
Another thing missing is a Dynamic Object for slideshows. So not only text blocks should be client editable but also the content of slideshows. This is really missing in X5.
P.S.: I mentioned this in https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/fr/post/194382 and https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/fr/post/178057 already.
Unfortunately Incomedia doesn't have a public backlog of "user wishlist" with the status. So you never know if the developers pick up the ideas, work on it or reject it.
