No cart purchase confirmation email  en

after several years of OK operation the confirmation email from cart purchase is not operating.  Nothing has been changed (that I am aware of)

Presumably adjustments on the server for example, newer php version or security standards?
Check on the server under herdomain.ext/admin which scripts work for email. (Access data available in the project)
note that currently v16 from wx5 dan meets current needs.

have upgraded to v16

have gone into www.domain/admin and done a website test on all the email form scripts for email settings.
low-level script, can not send email with internal script
low quality Server script, "
standard script, "
php mailer (smtp), smtp connect failed
php mailer, could not instantiate mail function

In the test area you can download scripts, but what is this for?

The annoying thing about this is the site functioned OK for years and now nothing.
At the moment it is difficult to determine where the problem lays, with X5 or the host.
Am talking to One.com as well but no joy as yet.

Hi Kent.

First of all, in order to determine what could be going wrong with this site, I'd like to suggest you to proceed in the following way.

Try and upload the website on a new, different, free and temporary hosting, and test it there.

Should you get the exact same result, the issue might be lying in the website. If not, the server is probably it.

Try this and keep me posted

I think it is solved.
for some reason starting an email account on the One.com site has resolved the issue.
purchaser and owner now get emails.
Why the site worked OK for years without a One.com email account ...... well???

Most probably, something changed on the hosting's policies, since (if left untouched) the software handles nor changed nothing regarding to this specific functionality.
