Menu Object Height  en

I am creating a website where for a gym company where I have a top level menu in the header with general headings, and my menu structure has 2 other levels for the 2 Gym sites

At the top of of the Gym site pages I am putting the menu object at the top of the page for that level.

This works fine, but when the page narrows the menu goes to 2 lines deep, then narrower still to 3 lines deep. I would like it to go to the 'hamburger' menu when it doesn't fit on one line, like a menu in the header.

The problem is that in the header you can define the size of the height of the object, whereas on the page it kust keeps getting deeper as you can't define the size.

Is there a way to define the height of the menu object on the page, or the height of the cell that contains it?

Many thanks, Mike.

It is a bit hard to follow, sorry can you make a prtscrn and mark what you would like?

You can set the height of every page link in the menu, also the number of links in the level menu.

But these are all the same for all pages if the object menu is in the header.

And don't get a good feeling about what you mean, so hope it helps else please a prtscrn with markers to show how it is good en where not.

THX

The menu in the header is fine, on smaller resolutions it goes to hamburger.

It is the menu objecy I put at the top of the page for level 'Stafford' it just gets deeper as the page narrows. I need a way to define the height like the menu in the header.

Desktop 480px and 320px width images attached.

I see what you mean, the only way to make sure you have no more then 2 rows in the smallest viewport with the menu visible is to adjust the wiidth and you can set margins and spacing as well in the Main TAB.

Bij centering it, it looks also nice on desktop.

But that is the only way, so or you set desktop nice and you have 3 rows, or you set small viewport good and desktop becomes smaller.

But there is no way you can do this so you can have both.

It is already made an IDEA post if I recall correct but ot's a while ago, maybe a new IDEA post? Or I can set this one as IDEA post if you wish.

Hope i got your question  clear.

Best Regards.

The problem is with the menu going into rows instead of 'hamburger'is that it takes more of the screen on a phone hiding the content. Also the elements are close together making it hard to select with a finger and not select the wrong one.

It would be nice if I could display a second menu in the header, but only on certain menu level views.

But you can make the level menu always to be set as hamburgermenu, but then it is also like that in desktop view. And you can create your own height of the level menu besides the menu in the header

I am interested to know how to do that please.

But it would not look right to have the hamburger on a desktop view, no good for the user.

thanks, Mike.

Hi Mike.

The hamburger menu transition should be automatic as the resolution gets smaller. If for some reason it is not happening for you, perhaps something is worth checking in your project specifically. Let me know if this could be okay for you and I will set the topic private

From v17 in any case, as Andre mentioned, you can set a menu to always appear as Hamburger, as shown in my screenshot:

Are you working with v17 currently or v16?

Keep me posted on this

Thank you

Stefano

Hi, I am working in V16 as V17 does not work on older iPads.

I have decided to let the menu issue stay as it is and have the 2 rows of menu items.
