Can Gallery item descriptions be set up as ALT tags in your HTML  en

I just did some snooping in the Source code for a Preview page in IE11. When adding items to a gallery,
the description added to an item shows up as description " " in the HTML. Any chance of automatically setting
up the program to add an ALT tag to the HTML using that description also as an ALT tag for the image?
