I have tested all the script types and the only one that sort of works is smtp and only if I select Always use the following email address. I have tried three different addresses here  and the emails are received but always as spam

I recommend contacting the technical support service of your hosting. Ask them exactly which sending methods will work and with which particular parameters. Plus, look at the server logs for errors while sending emails.

An update to the above I now have e-mails sending via 123 Reg hosting and emails being received without going to spam, but with the subject set they all appear as a conversation. Which is not good and I can't use the customer as the e-mail sender it has to come from a hosting site e-mail address

Hello Robert,

Some providers demand that the mail adress used in an email form come from the host itself. Another host won't be accepted.

Some users have made workarounds, but if you want this you might want to switch from hosting provider, you can also take with you your website adress.
