Shopping cart needs more note fields
Auteur : Adrian B.The X5 cart is a shortcoming.... Needs many improvements.
Here's a quick fix which would solve many problems....The cart Step 1 page has a note field - before shipping and payment options come up. So the customer at this point doesn't know he needs that field to send through some info on the order.
Step 2 page has the Shipping and Billing Options. Here we explain that customers can give us their UPS/Fedex account numbers to ship collect..... But no note field to add it...
Billing options is the same. Here we explain that customers can use a PO number for example, or if paying by credit card we will call them once the shipping calculation is done...... But no note field to add it...
Step 3 is the summary - an overview of everything - great spot for an additional comments or directions from the customer.... But no note field to add it...
This X5 cart system is weak - it needs to follow the way people place orders. Customers don't read everything - explaining everything in advance of getting to the cart isn't going to work reliably..... give them note fields in better spots than only at the checkout start.
Better payment options. Live shipping calculation.

Well, Incomedia has it's own pace in updating eCommerce...so I wan't be putting much hope that this stuff will be fixed soon...

Thank you I appreciate you forwarding the request. It would be wonderful if it was incorporated - make X5 the leader by improving it... So many good things but still many things to improve
