You can change the apparance in step3 in the special pages part way below, i don't know if you knew this, i can't make this up from your post.

You can change the text of the shop search in the language option in x5 to your own liking.

Click the blue circle and rename it, upload en then your are done, i just checked the category, but please check here yourself other parts that you might want to change.

I did not test this but it should work, try it.

Yes, it is feasible to make changes from there!!! Honestly, I have never thought about making changes ever there.

But the next arising issue is that those "settings" are not "individually settings" for each website you design, but are "software settings". What I mean is that if you design now 2 websites (real estate / e-commerce) , you have to make those changes again and again, back and forth.

I hope you understand what I speak about.  

No this should not be the case, changes in there are for all projects, at least to my best knowladge, let me test this this later on to be sure.

But if i am wrong, you can import and export languages.

Just checked you are correct it is for every project seperatly.

But again, you can import and export so it's not a big issue.
