Re-installation  en

Hi there, as a result of severe operational problems with my Windows 10 desktop I need to completely rebuild the operating system (reset is not enough). In order to do this I need to uninstall my X5 package. which is active until september 2021.

Once I have re-installed the operating system, should I simply re-download from my account or should I reinstall from my CD back-up and then reapply all subsequent updates?

Note....My live system states that the version is Website X5 Pro 2021.3.1. but the latest download link states 2021.2.8.

Does this discrepancy merely reflect that my live instance has been updated with beta changes?

Anyway...Thanks for reading and I look forward to any responses

By "live system" do you mean the published website? You have probably edited your project with the preview version and maybe even uploaded it? This creates a problem because the preview projects cannot be opened with the current or later published "sales versions". The only thing that will help you here is a real backup that you created in step "5 Export" with the option "Export the website to the internet". This is an iwzip file that you can import into the version.

I should have made my issue clearer.

I am referring to reinstalling the Website X5 software package that I originally purchased and have updated with new releases, i.e  Incomedia WebSite X5 Pro 2021.3.1....not web software that I have developed.

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

Incomedia WebSite X5 Pro 2021.3.1 is currently still in the preview and not a program version that should be used for live projects. The currently valid program version is 2021.2.8, which is available for download in your profile. You should use this for reinstallation.
