Showbox only shows part of a video on mobile device  en

Hi

I've recently included a video in my website using Showbox www.cedarfarm.co.uk/kennels.html

The video works fine on a desktop. However, on a mobile, only part of the video screen is displayed. I've had a problem (see past posts) in that I can't preview video's as they will "not work on this browser...or any other browser". I've followed advice in getting around this by saving the site to disk - which I can check on my desktop.....but I can't check how things look on a mobile.

My question. How do I get the showbox to resize and view all of the video on all devices please.

Thanks

Graham

The Showbox is ideally suited for the desktop and just because of the videos with you, but a Showbox was not made to pop up in a cell phone!
In addition, the showbox can not shrink so that the video also shrinks. Maybe you need to adjust the dimensions of the video to display it correctly on mobile devices.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure that "fixing" the box size is a good idea...too many device types. The reason I used a showbox was that I wanted to create a Custom Poster for the front of my video - and X5 instructions say ..."specifying that the resource must be opened in a Showbox", no mention that it doesn't work on a mobile!

That being the case, does the Video/Audio object resize depending on device. If so, how do I create a Customer Poster for the Video/Audio object.

Thanks

Graham

Graham,  it works but it is a big file load and slow to display on a mobile. I personally recommend you hide this cell for mobile displays and not display the video.

You are right, it is cropped on mobile devices, but I suspect the only way to overcome this is to specify a width no more that 320px and you may need to resize the video.
