Black Blocks at the top of the page

Done a simple home page with transparent back ground. The page has Black Blocks at the top as well as on the left and right.
Cant get rid of them, I have made sure the template structure is all set to transparent for the headers and footers etc

I see no black blocks on the page - I see this:

Feel like a right plonker.................google and browser data, hit F5 and it was fine..................duh!
