Cannot submit a Blog review.
X5 admin shows diagnostic tests all PASS.
Server folders are set to Full Access for the user  IIS_IUSRS

Why is a comment submission failing?

It also works without an extra server directory. In this case, WebSite X5 saves the comments to a file in the normal directory.

I have now created a directory in the FTP window of WebSite X5 and specified it as the directory for the blog comments, and that also works.

What server are you using?
My site is on a Windows Server running IIS 8.5 and PHP 7.3

The website root directory has limited security access rights and any file created in it will inherit the same rights.

I created a website subfolder from the website root with full access rights for IIS_IUSRS. This is the folder I entered in the blog comments server folder as the full local DOS file path from C:\

Taking note of your 2nd post I set a folder for comments to just /zqu7d4, and created the folder in the website root with full access rights for IIS_IUSRS and this works.

So my error was to put the server's full local DOS path to the comments folder.

I am now experimenting with reducing IIS_IUSER access rights to just read/write.

Thank you for the hint to my error.

I wish WebSite X5 did not force us to have writeable files with the website folder tree. This can seriously compromise the security of a site.
