Hi
I can no longer open any of my older project with the new version of X5 can you offer any help on how to go about fixing this serious issue? Thanks in advance

Is it because the X5 comes up with an error when you try to open a project?
Or
Is it because you cannot see your projects anymore?
If it is because the projects is not to be seen, then you should check the settings for the X5.
Click on Preferences and check if the setting is where your projects really are.
The program should by an update automatically read the old settings and use that - BUT IT DOES NOT.
This makes troubles for a lot of users.

Hi John,
Thanks forthe fast response, much appreciated.
Everything is good to go in preferences and settings are pointing the correct projects folder
Things appear a little out of whack at the moment as the supposed older projects files are showing a newer version number than than the updated version I downloaded this morning after purchasing another year of upgrades. Please See Attached images
Don't know quite what to do at the moment and really have to get back to work on some client projects before the deadline dates.
Any further help on fixing this would be much apprecited.
Kind Regards
You probably used the beta version 2023.3.6 and saved your project with this version. If you have a backup, called an iwzip file, with the latest distribution version, you should import it. You can only use the project file of the beta version with this version!

Wow! Thanks for letting me know Franz-Josef
I guess I'm screwed becuase I can't even open my backup files now as they were saved using the software. I wish Incomedia would just have a seperate application for Beta testing as now I have to re-do and start all my projects over again.

I fixed the issue.
I just had to go to the "Preview & Beta" section and activate the new version of the software to receive Beta updates.
I'm now able to open my projectsand get to work.
Thank You John and Franz-Josef for your help on this, much appreciated.
Kind Regards
But you still have to be careful and only use test projects with the beta version and not projects that are in active operation. inconedia writes this clearly in the FAQ, section 'How should I manage my projects?'.
