Hello everyone,

I have a website which, was created in an earlier version of websitex5. Of 8 websites that I have converted, this is the only one I have a problem with. I cannot edit the database perameters in settings. It showes the perameters from an old server but, are greyed out and uneditable.

I found the x5settings.php file and changed to db settings but, they are not sticking and reverting back to the old settings. This is a huge web site. I would hate to have to start from scratch. Anyone have any ideas on how I fix this?

Iam currently using ver.: 2025.1.7 pro

Thanks for any assistance!

John

The Incomedia employees will probably have to fix the problem by requesting the project file with the file extension .iwzip (WebSite X5 > 5 Export > Export Project).

Because of the holidays, Incomedia employees are only allowed to report from January 2nd.

Alternative, as long as Incomedia has not fixed the error:

Couldn't you upload the modified x5settings.php file to the res directory via the WebSite X5 FTP window every time after the website is exported to the Internet normally using the WebSiteX5 export function?

Correction to point 3:

Upload the modified x5settings.php file from the hard drive to the web space.

I have but, cannot use the program to upload files with the DB perameters not set correctly. I have to upload everything everytime and just the files that have been changed. Not idea in my openion. It's like it is hardcodded somewhere and I just can't get rid of the old settings.

If I remember correctly, there was a similar problem with gray information that couldn't be changed several months ago.

As far as I know, the Incomdia staff fixed the problem at the time.

Hello John,
I am sorry about the issue, if you can provide me with a copy of the project I can delete the parameters so that they can be updated.
You can export it in Step 5 - Export, choosing the “Export the project” option to generate an IWZIP file.
You can then upload the file with SwissTransfer, TransferNow or similar services, and provide a download link to support @ incomedia.eu (without the spaces).
Thank you.
