Seems that you removed the images from their original folders from which you loaded them into the software.

When an update is done, the entire WebSite X5 cache is updated. In this case, if the original images are not in the same path they were when you loaded them in the software, they cannot be find by the software. Therefore, an "Image Generation Error" is shown instead of the picture.

You should place the images in their original path and then reload your project by clicking CTRL+Preview in WSX5.

Since 9.1.0 there are no updates to the images generation code nor to the image generation functionality.

Make sure the images are still accessible. What if you double click on one of those image object which keep saying "Image generation error"? Do you see the preview?
