Subment conflct with embeded PDF's  en

I have a problem with horizontal submenus in Internet Explorer v8 and v9 and Firefox v16 Chrome v 23 works fine. I have updated websitex5 to the latest release as of 19/11/2012

I have a menu item with 10 submenus and a page that has an HTML area containing an HTML to embed a PDF file.

When the page is displayed and the menu item selected, only the first 2 submenus are displayed. I.e. the PDF form overlays the rest of the submenu items so you can't see or access them. I don't want to move the menu item to the left or right so they show nor move the pdf down. This happens with both the <iframe> command and the <embed> commands

e.g

<iframe src="Documents/Hernia Questionnaire.pdf" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:100%; height:480px;" allowTransparency="true"
seamless = "seamless"></iframe>

<embed src="Documents/Hernia Questionnaire.pdf" width ="100%" height="480px"> </embed>

How to I resolve this?
