Hi, I've just purchased Websitex5 evolution9 today. After successful installation, I noticed an update was available. However, I encountered an error, "Error while updating: 406 It was not possible to install the files on your computer. Please verify that all programs are closed and restart the update". I tried to reboot my Windows 7, and still ran into the same problem. How can I update?

Could not write files: Website X5 exe or dll files is still in memory and the update will not overwrite it. The software could be open (user has more than one open session), or an anti-virus or firewall block the files.
I had the same problem (error 406). The answer above was helpful to solve the problem. I opened my anti-virus program, switched off the integrated firewall temporary => after that, I start the update procedure again: and it run´s without any errors´s. Thanks for this helpfull tip.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to update to the latest version.
Well whatever I do, still getting the Error 406
Is there another possibility to load the update down to the computer?
What a pain,
After deactivating the real time antivirus scanner it works.
This bug shouldn’t happened!!
I had to deactivaze browser security as well.
