Je nach Version von Websitex5 gibt es Einschränkungen, welchen Typ und Version von v9 verwenden sie?
Sehen Sie hier die Beschränkungen in der aktuellen Version 10:

Thanks for the reply JJ
The version is Evolution so everything should work I would have thought.
Hi John,
What's the site URL, and what edition of Website X5 are you using? (v8, v9, v10, etc.)

Thanks Paul version 9. Can't post url as it is a members only site. sorry
Did it work in the past, and has only recently stopped working?
Delete all files from your server (make sure you remove every last one) and reupload your entire X5 project afresh. Empty cache and delete cookies from your browser before testing afresh.

Thanks Paul, I have only uploaded to my host yesterday.

Thanks Paul, I have only uploaded to my host yesterday.
Is it a browser related issue? I have seen instances where the search field will not function in Google Chrome, yet works perfectly in Internet Explorer 10.
What revision of PHP 5 does your server run? There are constant new releases and bug fixes. Updating may help.
Have you visited your admin control panel within X5 to check on your server health with regards to PHP, etc?

Thanks Paul,
So far I have tried in Firefox, IE, Chrome and Opera. Still the same result.
the PHP version 5.2.17 .
How do I get into the admin control panel? dsid not know about that.
Visit http://wwwyoursite.com/admin - replacing yoursite.com with your domain name
Once there, enter your Admin username and password. If you don't know what these are then you can find them by referring to Step 4 - Advanced Settings - Access Management
PHP 5.2.17 is a very old version which is now "end of life" - upgrading the PHP on your server might well cure your problem.
See this link for further details on upgrading to 5.3:

Well that is now working too well. I have the search tool working on my wampserver version of my site The only problem with it is after I perform a search there is also a search tool. Now I have 2 HELP, thanks
Hello John,
Is the other one, which is added by the program, still present in your project?
If yes, you will need to remove it, since you will only need one.
Many thanks!

Hi Claudio,
I have uploaded a test to our host server. www.eastbournefhs.org.uk/newsite
if you do a search for books you will see what I mean
I have the search tool in my header.
Do I need to remove it from a php page, if so which one please.
Regards John
Hello John,
The test website is not visible on the link. I meant if you have added a search engine provided by the hosting then you need to remove the one added with the program because it will be only a double.
Many thanks!

Sorry Claudio, I was doing something on the other part of the site.
You should be able to see the problem. I did a quick inspection of the element and it looks to me as they are both from within x5
Thanks
Hello John,
Ok I saw what you meant. The result page is styled in this way to show the search field again in the upper part of the results.
You can hide it by using following code in Step 1 in the Expert Tab in the head Section:
<style>
.imPageSearchField {visibility: hidden!important; }
</style>
Many thanks!
