New website project
Auteur : Alex G.Hello,
I have a new website project for one of my customers and although I have read and I am trying to figure out some things using WebsiteX5 (I use Evo9) I am still going to need as much of your help as possible. Let me tell you that the background post instructions are GREAT (http://tees.websitex5.com/) this helps me A LOT!
1) I need to know how to create the login page in the header of the page and not in each individual page. The intention is that the user registers for an account to specific protected page(s) and then after payment (using PayPal or other Merchant account) he/she can view the contents of the specific protected page(s) or download something. This is going to require a 3 step page or even better a pop-up login or something, but it must ask for login, then payment, then download of only the item bought.
2) I saw one of your sample pages and it had a fixed support tab on the side of the page, i.e. if the page was scrolled up and down the tab never moved from the middle of the viewing page, how do I go about doing that?
3) I want to know if WebsiteX5 (Evo9) has mobile support i.e., is there a manner to build the site that is mobile and tablet friendly or must we use a 3rd party?
Thank you.
Hi Alex,
Firstly I would recommend you move to version 10 to keep up to date.
1 - Login page is automatically applied in v 10.
2 - I don't know
3 - v10 is mobile and tablet friendly. Our website looks great on them all.

I want to keep my version 9 for now and still be able to do the projects mentioned in my original post, if anyone could help I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you.
Tiffany - you might want to start a new thread on that question. It is html.
Hello Alex,
To add the login script in the header you need first to use the HTML&Widget OBject in step 3 where you select from the widget the login script and then you copy it and then you create and HTML code object in the header and you paste the login script code.
For ther mobile support, Version 10 has a complete support and for Version 9 you need to avoid the use of flash functions like in the gallery, where you need to use the HTML5 gallery and the video player since it's based on flash will not work on mobile devices without flash support.
Please feel free to write back if you need more information.

Hi, Claudio,
I have made a lot of changes to my website and I know I originally posted for a project of a customer but now I would like to do so for my own website which is the fixed tab; I have managed using a fixed backgraound on custom pages but would REALLY like to have that fixed tab on the side of my website. I do not wish to upgrade to version 10 just yet and still want to have my site be mobile friendly, is it possible to do so with version 9 changing the html code even if it has to be done in all pages? I have no issues with HTML or CSS. Thank you.
P.S.: see the new changes at www.apluspcclinic.com. Thanks again.

Update: this website has the fixed tab that I am looking for and this is what I wish to do:

It is the left side icon with the @ symbol.
