Why don't my images show up when inserted in a text box? I am using the latest version of Website X5 Evolution.

Anton,

Where do they not show up ? In X5 self ? In the preview? Or on your website?

If it is preview or website try to refresh by using CTRL-F5 key.  This will ensure data is taken from the site and not from memory of your history from harddrive where they offcource not are (yet) after F5 they will.

In both the X5 application and after I've published it to the website. Refreshing doesn't help.

It used to work perfectly with the other websites I made with X5. Now all that comes up is a rectangular outline without an image inside.

Can you give me / us the website and the location / page to where this is so we can see it / check the code behind the site ?

Thanks, BR A

Anton,

Did you change the picture in x5 with some options like a bezel or stars or a copy mark. If so try to use a plain picture, without any changes from x5 and see if this helps.

Let me know.

I did no modifications. I just imported photos from my hard disk. I tried several pictures and the same problem occurred. They were just plain jpg photos.

Hi Anton,

Are you using the X5 text object correctly as I can see a <link img src=""/'5c/'5c/'5c/'5cvmware-host/'5c/'5cShared" in the website code?  Normally a selected image is put into the 'images' folder by X5. The webcode will appear in a similar format too <img src="images/p013_0_05_1.jpg".... .

Have a look at the X5 help info on using the text object to check whether you are using X5 correctly.

Hpe this helps

regards Nigel

Problem solved.

I am using VMWare Fusion with my MacBook Pro to run Windows 7 and Website X5 in it. I was sharing folders between Windows 7 and Mac OS X Mavericks.

The images I used were those in my Mavericks folder. All I did to solve the problem was copied the images from the Mavericks folder to a new folder in the Windows 7 C: drive and then used these inside my text box.

Voila! The images appeared.

Thanks Nigel P. for giving me an idea.
