This forum and the X5 documentation refers to the Adobe Reader (aka Acrobat Reader) as the means to display a PDF file. These references are antiquated. There was a time when there were no viable alternatives to the Adobe Reader but that was many years ago. You do NOT need the Adobe Reader. There are many better choices and all references to Adobe should be replaced with generic references to PDF applications and browser plugins.
