All purchased credits are deleted after a year if you have not used them.
They must be spent in one year. Those are the rules.

Unfortunately, I must confirm that Credits do have an expiration date: in your case, the expiration date was May 8th, 2022 I really hope this hasn't caused any issues for you. Please consider though, we warn about the Credit expiration on the FAQ page, as well as the Credits Page.
