Greeting Peter and Claudio.  Am I missing the boat here?  I thought x5 Evo and Pro are responsive design already.  There are other posts stating it is and touch support for mobile with the Pro version in the product matrix.  I've checked the X5 website site on 30, 24, 23, 22, 20, 19 and 17 inch moniters, and all looked ok.  Also a 15 inch notebook and an iphone 4s.  Looked ok and the touch features on the iphone worked fine.  Please tell me this is the case and I just didn't donate $289 to the board of directors profit margin and the upper managers Christmas bonus.

Kind Regards

Hello Donald,

The templates are made to adapt to the monitors but these uses a fixed layout. In the templates there's also the code to adapt the template perfectly to the screen of the mobile devices so it iwill cover the complete space to make it more readable.

Many thanks!

Thanks a lot for your reply Claudio!  Please help clarify this for all of us.  Are you talking about the pro, mobile, from scratch or all of the templates?  Fixed layout vs adapts to screen size.  If the code is in the mobile template can we use/copy/insert with a normal template?  Can we use the mobile template for a non-mobile site so it will always cover the screen for all sizes?

If this could be fixed so we could toggle between fixed or full width auto ...... Holy Cow Batman!  We would be talking some real ground breaking "stuff" here folks!  In the mean-time please give us a little more detail.

Kind Regards

Greeting from the Great Lakes Region (Michigan, USA)

As I'm asking questions here I will make a post in the question section where it should be.

It appears we have some functionality in speading the website across the screen at this time.  As our friend Peter asked for full responsive capibilities would be very, very good.

Having a choice with between a fixed width or auto fit and a setting box to toggle between the two would be most excellant.

Claudio, thank you for your kind and patient help.

Regards

I completely agree....responsive is a must have. I haven't upgraded to pro 10, but will do if it goes responsive. I've been trying to modify the css with media queries but keep having troubles with it, will hopefully get it soon

Yes, we need responsive design, a lot of WP templates have it already and many websites are looking better with it.

X5 has the code to look good on mobile devices, but let's face it, we all know what are we talking about here, we need responsive design and better sliders.

Take this website as an example:

http://scenar.com.mx/

Look only at the upper part, it is very simple, but it is using responsive design and looks great on any resolution with that slider.

Thanks for taking this into consideration
