Adding shipping cost for different products

I sell several products that have different shipping cost due to their weight. I set them up as different categories and assigned the shipping cost to each but it seem like only one shipping cost is assigned to all products in the purchase page. How do I go about assigning the different shipping costs?

You can assign a weight to each product and then a different shipping cost for the cumulative weight.
Assign the weight in advanced settings (4) product list, product settings. Assign the cost of delivery based on weight under order management, shipping type, cost.
