You should use a database for this.

And a database tool.

I would suggest you look at the Appgini tool.

With this tool it is very easy to design/create database solutions.

Try click on filter and you will see a filter form where you can filter for a date interval, textfield and  from a drop-down.

For users and usergroups it can be set per table the credentials : allowed to create records, edit, view, delete.

You should use the contact form because this is not a X5 issue. I think you will never be able to do something like that in X5.

If the need is for a booking tool and search options for that, then the search could be very tricky.

The calendar operates with categories and sub-categories. A category could be a cottage and a sub-category could be available/pending/booked.

If the search form is only for example then I think the Appgini tool could be useful.

The calendar is free and the Appgini has a very reasonable price.
