I have been using web x5 evolution 9 on my school laptop since 2012 to host my school website. I haverecently upgrded my laptop and now need to install the web x5 programme again, How can I do this? I have saved all of my website details already in a  file on my new laptop so I do not think I have lost anything. I would apprreciate any help, Thank You, Marguerite O Connor

Hello Marguerite,

Firstly, export your project(s) in Step 5 from your old laptop  -  the files produced should have an extension of .IWZIP

Then download the version 9 setup file on your new laptop using this link:

https://answers.websitex5.com/profile/downloads

Install and run the software on your new laptop by right-clicking and selecting 'Run as administrator'  -  during activation you will need to enter the same email address as that which you use here on WebSite X5.

Finally import your existing projects (which are the IWZIP files referred to earlier) using the relevant option on the Project Selection screen when you first start WebSite X5.

Let us know if you need any more information.

Kind regards,

Paul

You will need to ask the Incomedia support staff for help with this, Marguerite.  Please set this thread to 'Private' by clicking on the small padlock icon at the bottom right of your initial post.  You'll then be able to share confidential details with the Incomedia support team.

Please wait for them to initiate contact with you, usually within 24/48 hours, but be aware that their working hours don't extend over the weekend.

I've notified them of this thread on your behalf, so please continue to monitor it for their reply.

Best wishes...

Hello Marguerite O.,

The password you need to use to install the program is the same you use to login here on the support website. In case you need to change or reset password, this can be done directly here on the support website or by chainging password in your profile or you click on "password lost".

Many thanks!
