Is there a fix to stop the cookies popup from being indexed by google?  en

Having checked the index status of my website by going to google and then typing in the search box:

site:mywebsitename.com

It lists all the pages that have been indexed by google, however there are multiple pages where it has indexed pages and states my cookies policy rather than the page content.

This has appeared more than 6 times.

Has anyone else experienced this and or is there anyway to prevent this this popup from being indexed by google?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Regards,

PJ D

Hello PJ D,

I don't know if someone else hasd the same issue. You can wait to see if someone else answers.

About the issue unfortunately it is not easy to decide what google needs to index since it takes the content according to the search queries and then indexes this type of content.

Try to submit to google again your sitemap and wait it to be indexed again to see if then it uses the page content.

Many thanks!

I have removed the cookies popup from my x5 site and will revert to the 3rd party service I was using previously.

The problem is that if it is indexing the cookie popup, it will affect my SEO.

Thank you for your feedback anyway.
