Image generation error

This is an error that seems to happen randomly, but it hinders my project significantly.
When I load a picture in an image cell, there is no preview and instead of seeing the picture I see an error message (Image Generation Error).
My usual pic formats are JPG and PNG (200 Kb to 2 Mb). All my pics have been edited with Photshop, and if a title was added, i flatten the layers before loading to WebsiteX5.
Also, sometimes only, when I close the project and open the next day, the image will suddendly be visible.
My display settings are: auto resize image, quality 100, mouse over none, resample 3-bicubic. I tried other settings, to no effect.
Anybody has any idea what happens? Thanks if you can help.

...the message "image generation error" appears instead of the pitchures, over all when the program cannot find the image, and, when the file name is too long or complicate, when it's too heavy; for one or more of these causes, after the due time the browser show the message. Solution: reduce the weight, rename the files, and put all image into a unique folder in the main root...
