Page layout issues with white space  en

I am having trouble laying up pages with correct white space between objects and cannot control the location of images.

The program places objects right next to each other. If they are too close I have to insert a TEXT object betwen them and place some line feeds in the object. Is this how we get space between objects?

Also, I have an image object at right of a text object but it is too high up the page, I place a text object in cell above it and add some line feeds but cannot get the image to show lower down the page.

What is the proper way to set distance between objects horizontally? (Text and image objects)

Also, is there a horizontal line object

David,

In the style button on the object (in step4) you can select the position of the object (alignement).

And no please don't use other objects to create spaces, and also don't use enters or the space character.

Use the margins, also found in the under the style button. you can set margins for outer and inner alignement.

If you are not sure how they work then give -just for test- the object a colour, for instance a text field give all text a background colour, and the in the style button a totally different colour, then start playing with the margins to see what they do.
