Is there a way to increase the size of the Gallery Images?  en

The image gallery works pretty well on the PC, however, this is not the same on mobile phones.  Often times, the image thumbnail is larger than the showbox gallery because there is such a large amount of wasted space surrounding the showbox.  Is there a way to either allow zooming on a mobile device in the showbox gallery or decrease the wasted space?

Hello Gabriel,

thank you for contacting us.

Could you send me the link to your website, so I can check? Have your already tried and modify the size of the gallery just under the box containing the list of the images?

Thank you in advance. Kind regards.

Above is just one example where the showbox gallery is smaller than the actual photo before it is clicked.  I am using a samsung galaxy S7 edge.

I have attached a screenshot which shows the background image is larger than the gallery image.

Hi Gabriel,

thank you.

I have tested on an Adroid phone and it seems to work fine, could you please try on Chrome, using your galaxy? Also, pleas send me a screenshot of what you see on this page http://sanfernandobraves.com/nyfc_2_2016.php , so I can see the difference from what I view.

Thank you. Kind regards.

Hello Gabriel,

thank you.

the image in the screen shot shows that the enlarged photo is quite bigger than the preview images. If you want to make it even bigger, please modify the size in the Section Style of the Gallery Object.

Thank you again,

Kind regards.

Elisa,

I think that I might not be explaining this correctly as I think you are missing the point.  Take a look at that same image on a PC and you will see that the images are quite large. Up to 2048x2048 as that is the apparent arbitrary limit set by your application.  The problem is that when you look at the same exact image on a phone, the image is ultra-tiny, as you can see in my screenshot previously provided, and the viewer cannot see any detail and surely you cannot tell me that they are viewing it anywhere near 2048 pixels.  If your application was updated to remove the completely unnecessary huge border of blank space around the image, it would almost suffice.  The only thing better is if you did that and also made the image zoomable.

This demonstrates another completely unusable feature of this very expensive program.  Is there a way to get a refund for some of the unusable objects since there is no intention of correcting some of the issues?

Thanks.

Gabriel, the enlarged image looks fine on my phone (although each one does take a very significant amount of time to appear so hopefully most of your audience uses a desktop). The limitation appears to be the phone or tablet. My phone is nominally 380px wide as per responsive break points (even though the display is Ultra HD), and if I was designing for predominantly mobiles and tablets I would resize the images to a maximum 1024px wide to speed download.

If the user wants a bigger picture they could rotate the phone?

But if you want the user to see the maximum size available with the ability to zoom and pan, why not just provide a link for each image in the gallery to the original jpg? Clicking on the image in the gallery would download the original picture with all the clarity you want.

Esahc,

The screenshot I provided is rotated.  Can you send me a screenshot of what you see?  Samsung Galazy S7 edge is a fairly popular phone and I am having trouble imaging it appear better on other phones.  And no, the majority of the audience is not viewing through a PC so this hope does not solve my problem.

Thanks.

Gariel, the attachments on my last 2 posts are from my phone (portrait in first, landscape in second) which has similar specs to the s7. But as I said in my last post, if you link each image in the gallery to the original photo the user will receive a full screen image which can also be zoomed and panned.
