you need to set these in x5: , host name, databaese name, username and password

step2 is not needed for x5.

remove database, create a new one. set the data in x5, upload and then it should work.

Tried that and still not displaying on preview with loading circle displaying and loading circle just displays when i try to upload and view live website

I just created a new project, set a fake databes (set all fielsd to 123) created a poll filled in 123. and then it works in preview.

So it should always work in preview even when database is not filled in correctly.

Cold you try this and see what happens at your end?

Can you also test if above fails on another pc?

That worked when i set fields to 123. so must be issue with settings from host provider.

Spoken to one come , who say that i cannot access databse externally without adding in code/script but i thought i could create a simple poll without being a web developer/programmer and writing code/ script

But why does it not work in your own project in preview, it should, start getting that in order, create a new page if needed. If that is correct then fill in the database information and start lookong for connection from database to one.com. But maybe it will work if you get the preview to work.

And you are right it's not hard to create a poll.

Tried new page and saving new page as php format but same issue, page header says http://127.0.0.1:8080/dance-poll.html and will not show in preview on web page as defaults to html even if i change

Do you use some custom code somewhere? There is something in that project because a new one works in preview.

Also something you could try: export project then import the exported project and try again

not using any code, tried to export and reimport and same issue, tried creating new datbase with host provider, question on poll displays but not the options just get timer clock?

What kind of pc / operating system are you using.

Try also a brand new project, just create any database set a poll leave all data like it is in default and try again.

If it does not work send me the test project (export project in step5)

maybe flash player needs to be installed but there are discussion on internet about safety and I am not sure if it is needed. ( I have it installed anyway because I trust my firewall/ virusscanner)

yep works on website, does poll only allow one question as tried to create another poll or another page and same issue as before

Every object needs to use a different table to store the answers.
