Wrong menu position  en

Hi, I have responsive limits set at: 1200, 960, 480 and a vertical left menu in full size, a "3 bar" menu in responsive as usual.

The problem is that when I resize the page manually in browser at a certain dimension the menu became vertical top aligned which is wrong.

Where is the mistake?

Thank you!

Marius, I can reproduce this behaviour as well. In V12 in the Responsive Template Structure there is only the option of horizontal menu either above or below the header.

On your website there are only a few menu options and they are all quite short names so they will fit as full text and not trigger the toaster menu.

This limitation has been resolved in V13 which offers absolute control of the menu at any resolution, but unfortunately this would be an upgrade for you. If you click on your profile and select offers you can see how much this upgrade will cost as an existing V12 pro user.

As for the gap to the right of your page, this is normally caused by an object in the header or footer that is wider than the available resolution, perhaps a large logo or background image?

Thank you for your time and effort. I have 2 issues in response, one for Incomedia staff:

1. Incomedia should resolve problems regarding functionality with updates on previous versions starting with the oldest. Indeed, new features in new versions means new product, but here we are talking about a lack of functionality usually solved within updates applied to ALL versions. Am i wrong?

2. This was the first clue - the header wrong size but I've checked, is not about it.

It is amazing one fact: HOW on the earth this team sketched the features of their program before coding it because you can find almost every important chapter to be set in web design? I guess there where a lot of serious meetings before the product was compiled.

Thanks again!

Marius, you should be able to work around the problem by making the menu buttons slightly wider (perhaps the width of the space set aside in the template) or simply add one more menu option. This should force the toaster menu because the text menu & buttons will not fit in tablet view.

The fact that no-one reported this issue to my knowledge would indicate that very few users came across it or they all successfully worked around this limitation, as such it is easy to understand why it didn't get fixed.

As for the gap to the right, I can only assume that something is there (in header or footer) but you have not yet found it.

If you move up to V13 I look forward to assisting you if I can.

Hello Marius,

In Version 12 the responsive desing had only the option for the horizontal menu above or below the header and the menu is shown until the menu buttons fits in the available space.

About the gap issue on the responsive template did you set the alignment of the content to the left in page background?

Many thanks!

Claudio: indeed the alignment was "center". Due to the experience in X5 you have found the source of the error. For me it does not make any sense but you are right.

Esahc ..: we have 2 issues here, one is the fact that we have "only" one report does not minimize the problem and the second issue regarding upgrade - I expect the current version working properly not the next one.

NO, it is NOT easy at all to understand why a problem reported by "only" one user was not fixed properly. Maybe you'll reconsider your answer. Then no, the length of the buttons do not change it. Thank you too.

As usually the X5 team solved the problem, which is another reason to thanks them all and another reason to congrat. myself for buying X5.
