Hi James,

how many users do you have on your PC? You have to follow this procedure for every user you have, including the admin. If this does not help, please delete every WebSite X5 13 related file you find under AppData (for every user), download the latest version from your profile and try again.

Please remember to create a backup copy of the files which are to be found under AppData, otherwise if you have any customized template you would lose it.

Please let me know if this can help you. Kind regards.

James, since all else has failed to date, have you tried running WX5 with the internet temporarily disconnected or disabled (flightmode)?

Have you temporarily tried disabling your anti-virus?

Have you tried running with no programs running at startup? https://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/

Then if still no joy, how about creating a new Windows user, logging in as the new user and installing WX5?

Hello James,

Generally the last option suggested by Esahc .. helps since it seems the user account is not working correctly.

Test if in this way the program works and in case the program starts correctly copy the content of the folder:

C:\Users\ NEW WINDOWS USER \AppData\Local\Incomedia\ WebSite X5 v13-Evolution

under the same folder of the existing user and then start the program from your previous windows account.

Many thanks!

Hello James,

Have you tried also to run the installer as administrator with the rightclick option and then to start it again as administrator to see if so it works?

Many thanks!

Hello James,

In this case try to uninstall the program again and delete the files in

C:\Users\ YOUR WINDOWS USER \AppData\Local\Incomedia\ WebSite X5 v13-Evolution\

And then follow these steps:

- Open the windows start menu or press the Windows Key + R and search for cmd.exe and run it with the rightclick as administrator.

- In the Command Prompt enter following command:

lodctr /R

- Press enter

Once done reinstall the program.

Many thanks!
