I am trying to see the full example of template business 17 but it loads up blank. I have attached a copy of what I see when I select new template.

The templates are "blank" so you can add all your own content. These templates do not contain "placeholder" graphics and text. But that would be a good idea.
The professional templates that Incomedia sells DO contain "placeholder" graphics and text. They are a good way to learn how to utilize many of X5's features.

Some templates I select come up with placeholders graphics and text as the example below. It just that I see the example with the placeholders for business 17 but when it loads it is blank.
I never bought any templates I did, but I only believe the paid templates are full, the free ones are downloadable, but inside they have nothing. On my site you can find both free and non-free templates. If you're interested try to see it.
Hi Nicole,
when you select a template on Step 2- Default Template you see on the right an example preview of the template, including with elements on the sample page. Still, as it is a Graphic Template, the page shown is just an example of how it could look like after your editing. Once selected, only the graphic elements will be present.
From your screenshot I see that, after selecting the template, in the window you chose to "Replace objects of the current template". Instead, you should choose "Keep the objects of the current template". In this way, the general structure will be kept.
Thank you. I wish you a lovely day.

Thanks all, I tried selecting keep the objects of the current template, it still comes up blank. When I look in the temp folder where the files are housed, nothing is there but the background files.
Hi,
I downloaded the template that you indicated business17. I use ws evolution. It's true a bit bumpy and is empty, but obviously because it's a free template. Try buying one to find it as complete as you preview them.
see the screenshot
Hi Nicole,
as the templates you find on step 2 are Graphic Templates it is normal for them to have just the background files. If you are looking for a Full Template, with sample pages and content, please have a look at our Marketplace, as you might something interesting: https://market.websitex5.com/en/templates/
Thank you, I wish you a lovely day.

Thanks you too, one more question. Why do some of the free templates have full graphics and text?

Why is the option to replace the objects grayed out? I have experience that on several templates
Hello Nicole,
If the template previously select contains no objects in the header/footer then the option is greyed out since there are no objects to replace since it's empty.
Not all templates contains since for the new ones it has been started to add some content to show how it can be used but in any case you are always free to style it like you want.
Many thanks!
