After upgrading to V14  en

Here are my first impressions after upgrading.

Pros:

- clean, new modern look

Cons:

- after a couple days of use, I still don't know what the version 14 really brings in terms of new features

- after clicking on Preview, I have to wait much longer before seeing a display of requested page

- i tried to export my project to a USB drive (back up) and it seemed to stop forever at 45%. I aborted the back-up.

As a conclusion, I agree with a previous review. It seems to me it was a rushed release before it was correctly debugged.

I did not post my system is Windows 10.

Second back up trial and it worked. I have no clue why it failed the first time. I did not even reboot windows.

Another question:  where is the V14 User Manual???   I would like to see the new features (if any) clearly explained.

jean-pierre, did you ever read this?

The "notes for converting" give a great insight into what might have changed, but if you want the manual you will find it in your profile under downloads.

As for backup to or working via a USB connection, this has been an issue for many years and I would not personally recommend it (I also do not work across a network connection). The problem does not appear to be the fault of WX5.

Because you are using Evo, your only backup is made when you upload the site via the built in FTP client (please check this feature is turned on via the down arrow next to save), so the safest backup option is to export the project and then copy it to an external device.

(When first working on imported products I too find the previews take a longer time, but as work tweeking menu's and headers comes to completion, I find previews become much quicker).

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, I had already read it.

I checked "My Profile"   but the download area shows only "Software" and "Templates". No User Manual.  If it is somewhere, it is really well hidden.

In the program, the help can be called up with the question mark at the top or with F1. To download the manual as a PDF, the download is provided here in their profile!
