Hi everybody.

How long does it take to start up new project in X14 prof?

I own computer with i7 CPU, 8 GB RAM, 2GB graphic Geforce - I am very patience but 17 minutes is for me pretty long time...

Any idea what could be wrong?

Hi Kris,

this is neverending story, today I started it again but after a while it stopped working - frozen, or IDK what it was, because in taks manager it appeared running, well there is something wrong - start up toa was bit shorter just 3 minutes...

Maybe in  10 days it will be just 1 minute, but who knows one day it will be like vs 13 booting up in no time.

Disappointed so far... pretty much.

Ivan,

Does it happen also with a brand new project?

if not:

Are there empty spaces in pages? spaces that are not occupide by objects?

This causes x5 to render a lot. It is not needed to have empty spaces take always care that these are filled. (It is also way better for your website viewers)

if these spaces are absolutly needed then set an empty html object in them, but it's way better, again, also for your website, to work with the outer (and inner) margins in used objects to create spaces.

this will speed up a lot! So create this in v13 before exporting.

Best Regards,

Hi Andre,

as I mentioned in the topic message, it is brand new project. I have tried it today new project and no significant improvement - still about 5 minutes doing something and then I can start to create new project. Older projects made in v13 prof I didn t change so far because they are up and running and after import to vs 14 there appeared many errors - I wrote about it other topic and I have now no time to solve it now.

On vs 14 so far I didn t try to do any website, but soon I wanted to start 2 projects, but IDK what version I ll use for it. I consider vs 13 way better than vs14 for now.

I think my pc is slower then yours, x5 starting up takes 10 sec. a new project with empty template about the same time.

But just to be fair I have a digital hard drive, this speeds up so much, if you don't then i am i bit faster, but it should not be a lot.

Maybe a deinstall, and the a full install from your portal (top right pulldown next to your name) might help.

It realy should not take that long, maybe a firewall the interferes too uch or a virus scanner? But I have these also active. But the errors for importing wurries me also, this means there is something wrong so try a new install, or another pc?

Hi guys,

to Andre - thanks for Your advise. I really don t have SSD, it is too small for my needs. Well vs 13 I can open in a few seconds, vs 14 takes few minutes more... When I get any better answer I will reinstal it. Thanks a lot.

to Claudio - I m using fully updated WIN10 home 64 bit. As antivirus I use fully prepaid Symantec and it includes FW. Thank You for any idea.

BR.

Ivan
