Cannot Update to latest revision of 14, keeps saying files are open when they are not  en

Recently I had to reinstall Windows 10 because Internet Explorer got corrupted. So now I am re-installing all apps and when I try to launch one of my projects, X5 says it cannot install the latest revision because a file is open (which it is not) and I am unable to run my old projects which were saved using a newer version of X5 that what I reinstalled.I need to be able to install the latest version issued Jan 18 but I keep getting the "file is open" error.

Please advise. The whole reason I had to reinstall Windows is because X5 and 1 other European program that I use needed Internet Explorer in order to operate. But IE is "baked" in the Windows program and cannot be re-installed by itself. If it gets corrupted you must reinstall Windows. A real pain.

IE is now running properly but now X5 will not update. Is there a way to go back and install earlier updates? I believe these files were last updated the first week of January.

Help

Thanks!

Robert, are you attempting to allow WX5 to update on opening, or have you clicked on your profile (top right) selected download, and downloaded the full, most recent version.

The full version should install without incident.

It turns out that a hard reboot of the system allowed the update to occur normally. I thought I had done that earlier in the evening but for whatever the reason, it now seems to be OK and the update loaded properly.

Thanks!
