Can the "Add" Button link externally in the shopping cart?

I have a multi-vendor website I'd like to set up through the shopping cart.

Possible? Any Other options?

Hi Beta,

can you please provide me with more details about your request? Maybe you can post the link to an example.

Thanks! Kind regards.

Thanks for your reply.

I see that you can enable a link over the image, but can I create a shopping cart item and have the "add" button link to an external product page (e.g. amazon) where the item can be purchased?

Can the "add button" link to my Amazon sellers page instead of directing them to the Website X5 shopping cart.

I'd like to set up my merchandise in the shopping cart as it is the cleanest way (it seems) to organize products using X5.

But, I'd prefer not to process payments on my site.

Thank you again.

Hi Beta,

If I correty understood it, you want to add a link to your products which lands on the product page on Amazon, so the purchase is done via Amazon and not via website.

You can set the link to the product on Step 1 - Settings > The Advanced section > Shopping Cart > Product List  >Product Settings

Then, on the page where you add the product catalogue, remove the add button. In this way, by clicking on the product the customer will be redirected to Amazon.

Please let me know if I can help you further Kind regards.

Thank you Elisa.

You answered my question perfectly...(but I dont think i did a good job at explaining my purpose)

Question: Can I still have that "button" visable and have it say, for example, "shop now" which would take them to my internal websites "product details page"?

...Then, on the "product details page" (on my website) a new "buy now" button would be placed and linked to my Amazon page. (that button would be seperate from the shopping cart button)

In other words, can you add an internal link to the "shopping cart button" without it linking-out first? (or defaulting to the X5 shopping cart preview)

Sorry if this is confusing.

Thank you in advance.

:)

Hi Beta,

you could achieve this result like this:

  • Create a page on Step 3 which will be your own product details page
  • Set the link to this page on Step 1 - Settings > The Advanced section > Shopping Cart > Product List  >Product Settings
  • On the page where you add the product catalogue, remove the add button.
  • Edit the product details page with the information about the product
  • On this page set a button, which you can create with a "Buy now" text, an image you have created or an image you can find on the Online Library, and set a link which lands to the Amazon page

I hope this can help you further. Kind regards.
